For all parents and guardians the concern for their child’s vision and eyes is extremely important. At Clear Vision Optometrists, we understand the significance of this, therefore provide children’s eye examinations in a secure, confident and comfortable setting for your child.

We have a dedicated children’s space including child specific frames, and toys to keep them occupied in the waiting area.

Children’s eye exams are approached differently to adults by making them more interactive and fun. Each child is assessed on their own merits, and the optometrist makes it an enjoyable experience while ensuring the child’s best interests are considered.

We are contracted with ENABLE NZ to provide the Enable Spectacle Subsidy for children under the age of 16. This is an annual subsidy provided by the Ministry of Health for children or parents of children who hold a valid community services card, or if the child holds a high user health card.
