Jayesh Chouhan
Optometrist / Owner
Jayesh is passionate about optometry and believes everyone should be entitled to high quality eyecare.
Jayesh graduated from the University of Auckland in 1997 and completed his post-graduate ocular therapeutics qualification in 2013. He previously has worked in various roles and organisations across New Zealand, Australia and the UK, as well as voluntary work in the Pacific Islands.
He is a past Board member and Chair, as well as professional conduct committee member of the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Board (ODOB). He has also served on the Board of Studies for the University of Auckland, School and Vision Science (SOVS) and currently is a member of the Optometry Council of Australia and New Zealand (OCANZ).
He has also been involved in reviewing optometry clinical competency standards for New Zealand and Australia as well as the eyecare competency framework for the World Health Organisation (WHO). Jayesh was also a technical advisor involved in the inaugural performance appraisals of the New Zealand responsible (regulatory) authorities.
Jayesh is a member of the New Zealand Association of Optometrists (NZAO), New Zealand Cornea and Contact Lens Society (NZCCLS) and Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists (ACBO). Jayesh is also a Macula Degeneration New Zealand professional friend and a Paralympics Visually Impaired (VI) classifier.
Outside of work Jayesh loves spending time with his dogs and cats. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys pottering about in the garden as well as spending time with his teenage children.
Lara Tolich
Optometrist
Lara has been with Clear Vision Optometrist for over 5 years and works regularly on Fridays.
Lara obtained a Bachelor of Optometry from University of Auckland in 1994 and completed her post graduate ocular therapeutics in 2004.
Lara has worked most of her career in the Wellington region and enjoys all aspects of optometry, including children’s vision, contact lens fitting and management of eye disease. Most of all she likes helping people achieve their best vision.
Lara is a member of the New Zealand Association of Optometrist (NZAO) and New Zealand Cornea and Contact lens Society (NZCCLS).
Outside of work she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
Caitlin
Practice Administrator / Optical Assistant
Caitlin has been with Clear Vision Optometrists since 2017.
She has a bubbly personality and is always happy to help. She is an expert in helping choosing frames and has a great sense of fashion. Caitlin values what is important to you as well as understanding your specific needs.
She is also very handy with frame adjustments and repairs.
In her spare time Caitlin enjoys solving jigsaw puzzles and exploring nature walks with her partner and their dog.

Stephanie
Optical Assistant
Stephanie works part time on Saturdays whilst studying full time and has recently joined Clear Vision Optometrists.
She will greet you with a smile and is always happy to help.
